Being a small library
doesn't mean that our patrons must do without their favorite new fiction
and nonfiction books, or that hard to find books are forever out of
reach.
If the book (or audio tape, video,
compact disc, DVD, book/cassette, or educational computer software) is
not in our collections, we can try to get it for you from another
library.
In most cases, interlibrary loan is
free, and very often we can get the item for you within one week.
We also have the ability to find locations for the item throughout the
State. If our library has a reciprocal borrowing arrangement with
that library, you can go and pick up the item yourself. Remember,
in order to check out a book from another library you must have a valid
Dunellen Library Card.
The
Dunellen Public Library is a member of the Libraries of Middlesex
Automation Consortium. What
this means to you is that through our on-line library catalog patrons
now have direct access to over 25 library collections.
Library staff can place holds on items for patrons or patrons can
log into the catalog using their 14-digit library card number and PIN
number and request books themselves.
Please ask a library staff member how to use the online catalog
if you are unsure or you need your PIN number. |
