What is the Coronavirus?

COVID-19, which stands for Coronavirus Disease 2019, is a highly contagious respiratory illness caused
by a virus. While most cases are mild to moderate, similar to a common cold, cases can be more severe
for older adults and those with chronic health conditions.
The Coronavirus is mostly spread from person
to person by droplets when coughing and from contact with surfaces where those droplets have landed.
Health authorities and experts are continuing to observe how this virus spreads
.
Check below for additional information

                                     If you are sick...

Stay home unless to get medical care. Those who are mildly ill can recover at home.

Stay in contact with your doctor.
Call before you get care in the event of an emergency or worsening symptoms.

Wear a face mask around others or when you enter your health care provider's office.

                          Avoid using public transportation,
                          ride-sharing, and taxis.

Designate a "sick room" to limit contact with others in the home, and use a separate bathroom if                                                   available.

Limit contact with pets and animals.
